About the Programme

In 2022, the LEGO Group joined Quizrr's global CSR training platform to deliver a pilot programme to selected suppliers and licensing manufacturers.

Quizrr is a fun digital training tool working directly with workers and site managers to equip everyone with the skills and knowledge about their rights and responsibilities, health and safety concerns, ethical employment issues and other key topics. The pilot marked the first time the LEGO Group has trained workers directly in our supply chain on Responsible Business Principles (RBP) related topics.

Following the successful pilot (during which 3,500 workers were trained on their workplace rights, and 98% of them said that “they learned something new”) the LEGO Group are offering Quizrr training to all direct suppliers in China and Mexico.

Aims of the programme:

  • To help develop a stable and resilient supply chain together with our suppliers and partners
  • To support our suppliers/partners to fulfil their contractual obligation to implement our Responsible Business Principles (RBP)
  • To empower factories in managing their own performance, to improve awareness, knowledge and working conditions throughout the supply chain.

You’ll be the first to experience these pilot trainings and you will help us decide if they make a positive impact on our supply chain and on your workers.

Project Milestones

Suppliers are invited to join group introductory sessions hosted by Quizrr to understand how the training will work, what results you may expect and how to engage and empower your workers.

For licensing partners and manufacturing sites, we’ll host individual onboarding sessions for each licensing manufacturing site, where licensing partners are able to join if they’d like.

Quizrr will send an agreement to each site by email for signing

Individual site calls will be held to help prepare for implementing the training programme in the best possible way.

Each site will understand how to use the dashboard to track progress, and how best to empower workers to engage with the process.

Hardware set-up involves 1-2-1 support with Quizrr to ensure suppliers have the hardware and platform set up and are adequately onboarded to use them.

Now each site is ready to train!

Quizrr will support sites to track progress and review training performance and results.

FAQ

  • An introduction call (60mins), agreement signing, start-up meeting (60mins), 3 check-in calls (30 mins each) and a wrap-up call with Quizrr (60mins)
  • 1 hour of paid time is required for each worker on site to complete the training (this time can be split into 4 x 15mins slots if preferred)
  • Access to tablets*, smartphones and/or desktop computers for all workers
  • Time to review progress and remind workers to complete the training, easily done using Quizrr’s dashboard
  • Attend a feedback call with the LEGO Group (1 hour, this is in addition to the calls with Quizrr, and brings the total time required for external calls to approx. 6.5 hours per site)

Yes of course. If a site doesn’t have tablets, desktop computers or workers don’t have access to smartphones, that won’t exclude the site from training.

It depends on the size of the site and the time available. We encourage suppliers to support all workers to attend the training as much as possible, however, we will work with each site to set a realistic goal in terms of the % of workers to complete the training over the year.

We recommend an HR manager lead, or the person/team responsible for RBP compliance onsite.

Yes. Quizrr complies with all local and global data privacy laws, including GDPR. You can rest assured workers' personal data is protected during and after the pilot.

Yes. Each site will need to sign an agreement with Quizrr which covers personal data protection clauses. However, this is covered by the LEGO Group.

  • As part of our 2025 sustainability strategy, we are looking for new ways to support our suppliers and licensing partners to move beyond audits and strengthen worker training and engagement
  • We hope that our suppliers, licensing partners and we at the LEGO Group can learn from this training programme about how best to train and engage workers to foster worker dialogue and engagement. Training like this offered by the LEGO Group doesn’t remove the need for suppliers to train workers themselves, on RBP topics or anything else but it does offer us all a learning opportunity
  • A focus area for the LEGO Group includes ensuring the rights and well-being of anyone involved in the production of LEGO products – an important component of this is ensuring workers are aware of their rights & protections and work, and the social responsibility activities of their workplaces.
  • The courses have been developed by experts in social responsibility topics, as well as in e-learning technology and gamification
  • Training is based on short film dramas, followed by quiz questions. The films cover real-life situations in factories, always in the local language and setting
  • All training results are saved and displayed on a web portal, making it possible for suppliers and brands to measure and share progress
  • Training programmes aim to improve worker-manager relations, create stability and establish relationships and trust with the brand, which may lead to new business opportunities
  • Quizrr is currently collaborating with more than 70 global brands and organizations. More than 800 suppliers have joined the Quizrr programme, completed more than 2,000,000 training modules, and successfully trained over 460,000 employees in the global supply chain!
