Our Strategy
As part of Target Forward – our enterprise-wide sustainability strategy, we are working to create a Just and Equitable Supply Chain (JESC). Having a Just and Equitable Supply Chain is our ambition supported by two goals and supplier requirements.
By the end of 2025, we plan to work with all our suppliers to implement policies and programs to advance gender equity and pay workers’ wages digitally.
These JESC goals build on defined supplier expectations in our Business Partner Code of Conduct and Standards for Vendor Engagement. These expectations encompass a holistic approach that will benefit all workers.

Four JESC Goals
We are focusing on four levers to achieve the necessary system changes for JESC:
- Equitable Systems for Hiring & Advancement - Creating fair and equal access to opportunities for jobs and advancement for all, as well as strengthening retention of employees, especially at management levels.
- Financial Security - Occurs when compensation meets or exceeds minimum wage standards and covers basic costs of living, correct wages are paid, and workers are empowered with resources and knowledge to meet their immediate financial needs and plan for their future.
- Effective Anonymous Channels for Incident Reporting – Effective anonymous channels (also called grievance mechanisms) involve creating procedures for workers to report grievances through multiple channels. Ensuring workers are aware of reporting channels is essential for equal access and confidence they can use them without fear of retaliation or discrimination.
- Access to Health Information & Services – Access ensures workers are safe and attain quality health information and services regarding maternal health, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health. Participating in this program will allow your entire workforce to benefit from comprehensive capacity building and digital training interventions. We firmly believe that this program will improve workplace dialogue among workplaces, foster long-term behavioral change, and promote supply chain responsibility beyond compliance. Our goal is to build an engaged workforce that can drive sustainable improvements across the supply chain, ensuring long-lasting positive impacts.


Program Overview
This program is specifically designed for workers and management level at all levels, with training content tailored and adapted to your country's context and labor standards, covering topics such as Ethical Employment, Workplace Policies, Workplace Dialogue, Social Compliance, Occupational Safety and Health, and Equality, Safety, and Respect (in progress). Depending on where you are located, Target's partners with Quizrr to finalize the training topics for each country's markets before program implementation every year.
The digital training modules can be conveniently accessed via tablets, desktops, and smartphones (offline or online).

Quizrr offers an engaging learning experience through interactive digital content, games, live-action videos, and quiz questions in local languages. It provides an enjoyable and efficient way to educate workers on their basic rights and responsibilities. How to Get Started
Suppliers are invited to join group introductory sessions hosted by Quizrr to understand how the training will work, what results you may expect and how to engage and empower your workers.
For licensing partners and manufacturing sites, we’ll host individual onboarding sessions for each licensing manufacturing site, where licensing partners are able to join if they’d like.
Quizrr will send an agreement to each site by email for signing
Individual site calls will be held to help prepare for implementing the training programn the best possible way.
Each site will understand how to use the dashboard to track progress, and how best to empower workers to engage with the process.
Hardware set-up involves 1-2-1 support with Quizrr to ensure suppliers have the hardware and platform set up and are adequately onboarded to use them.
Now each site is ready to train!
Quizrr will support sites to track progress and review training performance and results.
Ensuring Successful Deployment
Implement the Quizrr digital training in five easy steps for a successful learning journey.
1. Create an implementation team
Put together a team of dedicated managers and employees who will be programme champions! Explain the goals and benefits of the programme and empower them to share the information (key dates, how to participate) with their colleagues. Check in with them periodically and support them in their efforts.
2. Attend onboarding sessions
Onboarding sessions will be hosted by Quizrr. Please join these to understand how the survey and training will work, what types of results you might expect, and how to engage and empower your workers to share their voice!
3. Complete pre-deployment activities
Keep key dates top of mind and promote the surveys and training in the days leading up to the launch. Share the key messages of participation: it is free and anonymous! Remember to encourage workers to participate early so we can meet our participation targets!
4. Set training plans to meet targets
Quizrr will support your implementation team with developing a training plan to ensure you meet your training targets in a timely manner without jeopardising your production targets. Please follow the training plan closely to ensure everyone will have access to the training.
5. Be transparent, participate in regular touch bases and follow-up through dashboards
Access the Quizrr dashboard to check in with your participation rate and review employee survey responses and training results. Be transparent and upfront when anticipating any challenges and flag them during the regular touch base with Target & Quizrr Team.
