Case Studies

In a first-of-its-kind partnership, Quizrr and the Rainforest Alliance are scaling worker-level digital training across the agricultural sector. This initiative marks a key step toward embedding real-time, frontline insights into sustainability systems.

Co-developed with direct input from farmers and workers, the training content is tailored to real-world conditions on certified farms. Alongside this, farmers will be trained to use training data to strengthen their Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) systems—turning learning into actionable insight.

During the pilot phase, the initiative aims to reach between 3,000 and 7,000 workers in India and Mexico, with a long-term goal of expanding to more farmers and workers connected to Rainforest Alliance–certified farms. To extend its impact, the training materials will also be made freely available to the wider ISEAL community.

In 2024, an independent research study was conducted in Indonesia to assess the impact of the Quizrr training, specifically focusing on gender equality and the Equality, Safety, and Respect program.

Key Findings:

Shared and nuanced understanding: 
The training raised awareness of gender equality, shifting employees' attitudes and behaviors. They began viewing each other as equals and holding colleagues accountable for their actions.

Business benefits: Gender norms were challenged as women gained confidence in advancing their careers. Improved communication and the understanding that roles are not gender-specific reduced production disruptions. Employers recognized the value of updating processes and policies to meet compliance, boosting their attractiveness to buyers.

The effect beyond the workplace: The training inspired employees to share knowledge with their families, friends, and communities. Women supported each other by discussing gender-based violence and domestic abuse reports to the police.
