You can click here for Amazon Supply Chain Standards, and here for Whole Foods Market’s Code of Conduct.

In the United States, the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and its regulations set the general legal framework and guidance for the majority of employers on protecting children in their supply chains. Where the employment is explicitly excluded from the coverage of FLSA, the state laws apply.

  • Click here for child labor requirements in agricultural occupations under the FLSA.
  • Click here for state child labor laws applicable to agricultural employment.
  • Click here for child labor requirements in non-agricultural occupations under the FLSA.
  • Click here for state child labor laws applicable to non-farm employment.

In conjunction with the FLSA and state laws, you should also comply with Amazon’s Supply Chain Standards and Whole Foods Market’s Code of Conduct where applicable. The language of these two standards is identical and they cover all employment situations. When standards differ, adhere to the strictest, be it federal laws, state laws, or brand requirements.
