Speakers

Sanyukta Samaddar, Commissioner, National Capital Region Principal Secretary to Govt of UP, Ex-Adviser (SDGs) NITI Aayog, Govt of India

Ms. Sanyukta Samaddar is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), with over 25 years of experience across development administration, policy formulation, planning, and

financial management. She has steered the SDG efforts of Government of India, in the capacity of Adviser (SDGs), NITI Aayog for over 6 years till 2022, during which  she has led the development of the -- i) SDG India Index and Multidimensional Poverty Index, ii) the SDG localisation model with the sub-national governments, including monitoring and capacity building projects, and iii) platform for business sector engagement on SDGs among others. Ms. Samaddar also functioned as India’s Focal Point for the country’s Voluntary National Review on the 2030 Agenda and has presented India’s VNR in UN Headquarters in New York in 2020, with regular participation since 2018 to 2022. She has also represented India in the G20 and UNESCAP forums for several years. She currently serves in the sector of urban management in the National Capital Region of Uttar Pradesh as Commissioner.

 Debaranjan has records of high impact delivery in the areas of climate-smart agriculture, women’s economic empowerment, agribusiness, sustainable trade, and entrepreneurship development and experience in collaboration with public, foundation and corporate donors. He comes with deep understanding and expertise on agriculture value chains. In his past experience, he has played played an integral role at the steering committees of FICCI and NITI Aayog in driving solutions framework in climate smart agriculture.

Senior Adviser, CRB

Richard is Senior Advisor - International Affairs for the Centre for Responsible Business. Previously, Richard served for 22 years as a leading Member of the European Parliament, was its longstanding Rapporteur on Corporate Responsibility and proposed and negotiated Europe’s first rules for corporate sustainability reporting. Subsequently he served as Chief Executive Officer of the global body advocating the integration of sustainability in finance, which merged to form what is today the International Sustainability Standards Board. Currently, Richard is Strategic Advisor on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, Business and Human Rights, Senior Associate at the public interest law firm Frank Bold LLP, lecturer and member of Faculty at Audencia Business School and Board member at both the sustainable investment pioneer, the Eiris Foundation and at the sustainability think-tank, r3.0. He is host of the responsible business podcast, ‘Frankly Speaking’.

Director, Centre for Responsible Business

Nandini has over fifteen years of experience working on governance and industry action in the field of sustainability and responsible business behaviour. In her previous engagement at GIZ, she was responsible for driving different projects and cultivating partnerships/collaborations with multiple stakeholders.

Senior Programme Manager Centre for Responsible Business

Neha is a Lawyer with Masters in International Law (University of Bristol, United Kingdom). She has been in the development sector for over eleven years and has keen interest in policy, planning and multistakeholder engagements. In her previous role she was deputed at the Ministry of Corporate Affairs by the United Nations Development Program to provide support in drafting of India’s first National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.

Priyadarshika Subba, Senior Project Assistant, IOM – UN Migration

Priyadarshika is an experienced professional at the International Organization for Migration (IOM), specializing in projects that promote human rights due diligence, responsible recruitment, and migrant worker well-being. With a strong background in research and policy analysis, she has previously worked with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, focusing on international migration and development, particularly regulating recruitment practices.

Capability Building Manager, AIM-Progress

Nora works with AIM-Progress members to champion human rights in global supply chains. This includes the global supplier capability building program and different learning formats to increase HRDD maturity. Her previous experience include human rights consulting and working in the audit team at multistakeholder initiative Sedex. Nora is based in Hamburg, Germany.

Qualified Chartered Accountant with a degree in Risk Management. Having over 20+ Years of experience in Financial Services which majorly include solving the financing gaps of businesses through Asset Leasing, Supply Chain Financing needs through formulating cash flow-based funding.
