Interview with Maria Lassen, Senior Manager, Global Worker Rights VF Corporation, about how VF Corp benefit from Quizrr's digital training platform in their supply chain.

Tell us a bit about VF Corporation and your sustainability work

VF Corporation is one of the world’s largest apparel, footwear, and accessories companies connecting people to the lifestyles, activities, and experiences they cherish most through a family of iconic outdoor, active, and workwear brands. We power movements of sustainable and active lifestyles for the betterment of people and our planet. We’re dedicated to business success and also to make a positive impact on millions of people and the communities and environments we all share.

As such, VF is committed to respecting the fundamental human rights of everyone involved in our business operations and supply chain. It’s a pledge we’ve outlined in our Human Rights Commitment and helps guide progress on one of our key strategic pillars: Worker Rights. We seek to foster inclusive and sustained economic growth and development that offers decent work opportunities to workers throughout our supply chain.

Why did you decide to start using Quizrr?

We rely on data to drive much of our sustainability and responsibility work, helping us to better understand risks throughout our supply chain, monitor the success of programs, and identify actions we can take that truly benefit workers and communities supporting our global supply chain.

Quizrr provides a key collaboration tool connecting VF with our supplier partners. The data collected through Quizrr informs our strategies for respecting migrant worker rights, respecting freedom of association, preventing sexual harassment, and measuring our impacts. More specifically, Quizrr enables a direct voice for workers, a central tenant of monitoring human rights performance across the supply chain.

What impact have you seen so far?

VF’s Your Voice Matters programme engages over 8,000 migrant workers to provide education regarding worker rights during their journey from home to destination country and during their employment. As a testament to the programme’s success, several participating factories have renewed their training license for the programme, enabling participating factories to continue to offer training to migrant workforces.

We are proud to partner with Quizrr to continue connecting directly with workers, and to utilize the valuable information gathered to further advance our strategies, positive impact on people, and company Purpose.

Since June 2021, nearly 25,000 workers have been trained across five markets.
